Claire has established herself as one of Britains brightest and most versatile sopranos.

Born in Lancashire, Claire studied at the Royal Northern College of Music.  Whilst still at college, Claire made her professional debut at the English National Opera and early success continued when she joined Glyndebourne and made her solo Festival debut as Emmie in Sir Peter Hall’s production of Albert Herring. She returned to Glyndebourne and in 2005 won the prestigious Sir John Christie Award for promising young singer.

Claire has performed with many the world's leading opera houses, festivals and concert venues including the Royal Albert Hall, Welsh National Opera, Oper Frankfurt, Teatro Perez Galdos, Opera de Paris and Adelaide Festival.

Claire’s stage and concert work varies from Opera through to Popular, Operetta and Musical Theatre.  In recital Claire has performed Handel arias, French songs and is regularly asked to perform at weddings whether that be a favourite love song, west end classic or sacred hymn.

Claire has sung for broadcasts on BBC Radio3 (Betrothal, Die Zauberflöte, Falstaff, Poppea and the world premiere of Le Gladiateur by Debussy). She sang Nannetta/Falstaff alongside Bryn Terfel (WNO production) on S4C Television.  CD releases include Betrothal and Poppea for the Glyndebourne Label.  She also appears in David McVicar’s highly acclaimed Carmen DVD from the 2002 Glyndebourne production and also as Damigella in Robert Carsen’s 2008 Glyndebourne production of L’Incoronazione di Poppea.
